Robin L Poe-Zeigler, MD, FACOG

Dr. Robin Poe-Zeigler’s medical story is one that is driven by love, passion, and a constant desire to spread hope. In 1982, Dr. Poe-Zeigler (known as a Dr. Robin to her patients) lost her mother to breast cancer- a loss that would shape her medical career forever. She started medical school with a focus on gynecologic cancer, trying to help women who suffered the same way her mother did, but as she progressed through school she realized that this course caused her to frequently relive the loss of her mother. So instead of focusing on cancer and potential death, Dr. Robin changed directions to focus on infertility and potential life. To this day, this still brings joy and great meaning to her life. After finishing medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School and her 4 year residency at The York Hospital in York, PA, Dr. Robin was awarded a fellowship at The Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia in 1993. In 1997, Dr. Robin opened The New Hope Center for Reproductive Medicine “on a wing and a prayer.”

Since the practice’s opening in 1997, Dr. Robin has helped bring over 3,000 babies to loving families all across the world. In the almost 20 years that New Hope has been open, Dr. Robin and the New Hope team have perfected a unique, personal and boutique style fertility center, where patients are family. While clinical excellence and success mark her professional career, it is her hugs and compassionate style of care that has become Dr. Robin’s trademark. Being one of Dr. Robin’s patients truly means that you and your family will be a part of the New Hope family forever.

Admin Team:

Tammie Poe, BBA: ART Administrator

Tammie S. Poe joined the New Hope team in 1998, shortly after completing four years in the United States Air Force. Tammie started education at York College but received her Bachelor’s in Business & Healthcare Administration from AIU (American Intercontinental University)- and started at New Hope as a Financial Counselor and manager of the billing department. Through her consultations and interactions with patients, Tammie’s passion and commitment to the New Hope mission grew, and she noticed more and more patients who needed financial assistance to continue with their treatments. Determined to find a solution to this problem, Tammie organized The New Hope Center’s relationship with five full-service banks and three online finance agencies. She also created and developed New Hope Center’s in-house financial assistance programs, C.A.R.E.S. This program has helped hundreds of patients afford the fertility treatments they need, and will continue to help more in the future. In Tammie’s words, she believes that “every person and couple deserves to experience the joy that comes along with having a family, and I refuse to accept that cost alone should be allowed to dictate which services are made available to a patient.”
